Twitter Alerts for Sydney Zombie Attacks

It seems that Sydney, Australia had a power failure in the midst of a zombie attack a few days ago so its resourceful citizens tweeted about the state of play, allowing others to perhaps avoid the area and onslaught. Whilst some tweeted about the situation with the power:

"No #blackout in Pyrmont but RT @eunmac People saying the fire is near town hall on Clarence street. Trains still running apparently". @brieucsaffre

others tweeted about the more sinister threat:

"Residents warned of slow moving shambling hordes of hungry zombies leaving Sydney CBD". @stephendann

For those not already keeping an eye on #zombies on twitter, it may well be worth doing so - any early warning system is worth its weight in gold when it comes to zombies and you may one day owe your life to a hashtag.
