UK - New 'superbug research centre' announced for Scotland

A state-of-the-art biomedical research facility is to be established at the University of St Andrews. Part of the University’s Biomedical Sciences Research Complex (BSRC), the new £5m facility will study a range of emerging viral, bacterial and parasitic diseases.

"Our aim is to improve human health, not just in Scotland, but across the world, by tackling these emerging pathogenic diseases,” said Professor James Naismith, director of the new facility.
