Possible means to fight back

Apart from reading Labrat's recent comments and seeing how well the British are doing in the Olympics I've spent some of my leisure time here musing on what the options might be to counter the zombie threat. I'm sure my list isn't total, but here are some of my first thoughts: 1) Enforced cremation It strikes me that the problem is with corpses being reanimated. If cremation were made mandatory arou… Continue

Bio-terror defense or something more?

Hey look what's happening "over the Pond" as you say. So they are committing money to bio-terror defense. Is this normal bio-terror, or could there be a zombie angle too. I'm sure they wouldn't let on if there was. I wish I were more of a scientist, but it's amazing how all this stuff is going on. Still the weather is so poor here. So far just one gold for France in Beijing for wrestling. Alas… Continue

Bio-weapons: threat or defence mechanism?

Back now from a short break in Royan with a bunch of friends. The usual relaxing time of lounging on the beach, boozing and clubbing. Now it's time to do something worthwhile in the remainder of the summer vacation. Found this article about bio-weapons quite fascinating. Firstly it shows that some really potent bacteria can be spread just by inhalation. Using such power for the bad could res… Continue

Human infection seems worse than previously reported

Saw the latest and sad developments on Hendra in Australie. It seems to get worse and worse - this is such a potent virus. I feel so bad for those involved. Could an attack be made in a similar way - first the virus passes through animal species, then tragically it proves fatal in humans? And one wonders if even that is the end of the story or if it could have some potency beyond? At last I am free for the… Continue
